A wall of red roses formed into a heart. It was made for Valentine’s but it is used all year for engagement announcements, anniversaries and maternity portraits where the photograph is a gift rather than a record.

It photographs best with two people in frame, which is why couples take it more often than solo clients. Wear white, cream, black or red; avoid pink, which competes with the roses. Standing close enough to overlap works better here than posing side by side – the heart is the frame and you want to sit inside it.
